Sydney Ross enters her first season with the Elizabeth City State University volleyball staff as a graduate assistant coach after completing a standout collegiate career across three programs. Most recently, Ross played at Allen University, where she appeared in 74 sets across 24 matches during the 2023 season, totaling 107 kills, 26 digs, and 41 blocks. She recorded double-digit kills against Livingstone and Albany State, and her performance earned her recognition on the 2023–24 SIAC Commissioner’s All-Academic Team.

Prior to her time at Allen, Ross competed at Fayetteville State University in 2022, appearing in 16 sets with 12 kills, six digs, and nine blocks. She began her college career at Mississippi Valley State University in 2021, where she played in 71 sets across 22 matches for the Delta Devils and recorded 66 kills, 206 assists, 101 digs, 11 service aces, and 24 blocks.

Off the court, Ross excelled academically, twice earning SIAC Academic All-Conference honors and spots on the Allen University Dean’s List. A member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Allen in May 2025.

Ross also brings valuable coaching experience, having served as an assistant volleyball coach for the Untouchables EPA Volleyball Club in Dallas, Texas, where she worked with 17s and 18s teams and specialized as a blocking and conditioning coach.

With her playing experience, coaching background, and academic excellence, Ross adds a unique blend of leadership, knowledge, and passion to the ECSU volleyball program.
