Sierra Smith is entering her first year as the Director of Game Day Operations & Fan Experience for the Elizabeth City State University Athletic Department while also serving as the Head Coach with the ECSU University Softball program for the upcoming season.

In college, Smith began her athletic career at Division 1 Alabama A&M University, where she played as a catcher for three years from 2014 to 2016. Later, she transferred to Division 2 Tuskegee University in Alabama to complete her collegiate journey from 2017 to 2019.

During her time at Tuskegee, she was honored with the Unsung Hero award for her role as the team's starting catcher and played a key part in leading the team to a Runner-Up finish in the SIAC tournament in 2019.

She graduated from Tuskegee University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Health Sciences.

A native of Fayetteville, NC, Smith played prep ball at Chapel Hill High School (Douglasville, Ga.) where she was named as the Best Defensive Player in 2013 and 2014 along with being named to the First Team All-Conference in 2014.
