PETERSBURG, Va. -  Joshua White led the Elizabeth City State University Men's Cross Country team at the VSU Cross Country Challenge, finishing the 8K race in 33:23.2. The Vikings placed sixth with 117 points.

Malachi Nixon was ECSU's second finisher in 35:22.8, followed by Sylvester Reed in 36:45.5. William Battle (37:55.9) and David Medina (38:48.4) rounded out the Vikings' scoring five, who posted a combined time of 3:02:16. 

Looking Ahead: ECSU will compete at the Lancer Pink Invitational on Oct. 9 in Greenwood, S.C. It will be the Vikings' final race before the CIAA Championships on Oct. 22 in Salem, Va.
