Lady Vikings Softball Sweeps Shaw On Road

RALEIGH, N.C. – The Elizabeth City State Lady Vikings secured the sweep against Shaw in a rescheduled outing on Friday afternoon.

INSIDE THE BOXSCORES

The Lady Vikings grinded out the win in game one with a RBI single by Emma Fleming in the top of the sixth inning to secure the victory.  The contest against the Bears in game one counted towards the CIAA standings.

ECSU wrapped up the doubleheader with a non-conference tilt with Shaw picking up an error-filled victory.

Eboni Bailey went 3-4 in the first contest and finished the day with six hits including a double and five runs scored.

Courtney Ward tallied four hits on the day picking up two hits in both contests.  Allison Perry added four hits on the afternoon to go with two RBI.

Jamia Guilford went 3-4 at the plate with a double in the nightcap.  Emma Fleming and Karma Fields added three hits in the doubleheader.

Reagan Seelye picked up the win in the first contest tossing 4.2 innings allowing five hits and one run.  Shaina Lugo earned the win in the nightcap tossing 3.0 innings allowing four unearned runs off two hits.  Camdyn Peck registered the save in game two with three scoreless innings scattering two hits.

UP NEXT

The Lady Vikings return home on April 25-26 to take on Bowie State and Lincoln in CIAA Northern Division action.  Senior Day will take place on Friday, April 25 against the Bulldogs with first pitch taking place at 1pm.
