Playing in their final collegiate game for ECSU was seniors
Cheyan Brasseur and
Casie Wright. On the mound, Wright gave up 17 hits over the six inning, walking two and striking out one.
"There's honestly too much to try and convey in a few words in reference to how both of our seniors have impacted the team throughout their careers," stated head coach
Erin Forbes. "They are particularly special in the fact that we began our journeys together at ECSU and I've had the privilege to watch them grow every step of the way."
"Casie has been our workhorse in the circle and has demonstrated an incredible amount of commitment, accountability, and sportsmanship. Cheyan has represented herself and her teammates with strong leadership, determination, and maturity. Both of these young ladies are irreplaceable and so much more than just a couple adjectives but to put it simply, we have reached an end of an era with their departure and will be sorely missed. We've seen quite a bit of success this season and I can truly say it wouldn't have been nearly as successful without #9 and #21 on the field."
ECSU ends the season 11-17.
